In the 1800s, the Antonio Allones factory launched a new brand of premium quality cigars at higher prices, which they named "The King of the World". It gained much success and soon thereafter the company and brand was renamed "El Rey del Mundo Cigar Co."

Its cigars are characterized by a blend of lighter but rich tobaccos.
