These cigars have been hand rolled and aged in Cuba for 5 years or more in perfect condition and pristinely preserved.
The other Anejados launched at the same time by Habanos is the Partagas Coronas Gordas (46 ring gauge x 143 mm long). Both the Partagas and Hoyo (48 ring gauge x 127 mm long) were launched to the market as a unique Edición Especial in limited quantities and for one time only and both have undergone an ageing process of 5 to 8 years.
The Hoyo and Partagas Añejados are packaged in their original boxes and rings with the addition of the band “Añejados” to explain the concept.
Through the aging process in cedar wood, the cigars matured becoming rounder and mellower to the palate with touches of delicate, sweet and woody taste.
At the bottom of each box one can check the date of the original rolling. An additional stamp with the legend “Revisado” (checked) has been added as ALL the boxes have been opened and all the cigars have been individually checked.
